Frequently Asked Questions

• Submit an application and add us on Facebook. Please answer ALL questions thoroughly and honestly! Once we review and check into your background, we will notify you of your acceptance status and send you the proper private litter group invites on Facebook for you to join. At that time, you will be added to the waitlist.

• After the puppies have been whelped and we determine what colors and genders we have available, we will make announcements as well as sending out messages to allow everyone on our waiting list the opportunity to continue with the purchase of one of our puppies in order of top of the waitlist as well as order of contracts/deposits.

• Everyone receiving the notifications to move forward will have 24 hours to reply with confirmation, non-refundable deposit and a signed contract. However, if we see a "read" status in a notification message from us and do not receive any response at all back in a reasonable time frame, we will pass and move on. 

• Choosing of the puppies will be in order of deposit/contract and will NOT be done until after they turn 6 weeks of age. This is when their personalities and demeanor are more developed. The full balance of the puppy is due at 6 weeks as well to assure everything is cleared by the time the puppies go home at 8 weeks. 

• All photo and video updates will be solely on the Facebook group page as it is easiest to share with the most people at one time. We are also happy to do private video calls if there is a specific puppy or puppies you'd like to see more of. 

• After the puppies have turned 8 weeks and have received their 1st set of vaccinations and health certificates, we will have a Puppy Pick-up Day. We would love to have all of the families come together to meet each other, however, private meetings can be arranged as well. 

• Take your new baby home!!!

Our pups are started out with Puppy Culture Programming to include potty box training, beginning potty training in the latter weeks as well as introductions to crate training and leash work, beginning basic obedience like "here/hier" and "sit/sitz."  We also introduce them to water(weather permitting), gun fire/explosives desensitization, other adult pups/dogs from our household, daily child exposure and play time, etc.  While we also train HRD/firearms detection dogs, this is currently only offered for our HLL raised pups prior to leaving us.

Here at Harrison's Lakeside Labradors, we believe our dogs are part of the family and belong indoors, not in kennels. And of course more than anything, they deserve to have a loving, forever home! Our Guardian Homes are a way of offering these future breeding momma's a warm forever home from the start. 

The Guardians are specifically chosen people who agree to love and care for these mommas for life. Guardian Home pups go to them free of charge with the expectation that they are responsible for the typical everyday expenses of the dog as it is their own and we are responsible for all breeding expenses and health testing. Don't worry, all of the breeding and messy work is done by us.
